Port forwarding for TCP Ports 44158

Hi! I tried using the port forwarding guide for my router and couldn’t figure out how to specifically open TCP Port 44158. Any help would be much appreciated!

Happy to help you open port 44158, JaBa1000703010.

Try the following steps to open the port:

  • Go to NAT gaming and select Custom Services
  • Input a name and enter 44158 on the global port range and host port
  • Select TCP protocol and select Add

From there, you should be able to activate the port from the NAT gaming page.

We hope this information helped! If you need further assistance, let us know.

As @ATTHelp indicated it is a 2 step process: you create the NAT rule for the Port and save the settings and then you assign the NAT rule to a specific IP / Computer name on your local LAN network.

Also after assigning the port to one of your LAN devices you will also need to make sure that you have rules in your PC or Mac to allow inbound traffic on that port and you must also have an application or game listening for that port.

It is always a good idea to restart your computer after the rule is assigned. This should allow any service listening on TCP port 44158 to properly start on computer startup.

You should test connecting 2 devices on your LAN first before you try an inbound connection from the Internet.

Note: AT&T Gateways don't support Public IP address reflection so you will need to use internal LAN IP addresses for any testing before you bother to configure the Firewall on the AT&T Gateway.
