ping spike every 10 - 20 seconds

I just had fiber 1000 installed and I am in Cleveland. While my wifi speed is around 300 mbps, I get ping spike every 10 - 20 seconds during a computer game that lasts only a second a or so. These ping spikes made the game unplayable. ATT had to date sent out 3 field technicians and so far the problem remains unresolved. How do I eliminate these periodic ping spikes?

I have turned off windows update, turned off delivery optimization, turned off location tracking, and turned off diagnostics & feedback.

I use BGW210, the modem/router that came with the service. I do have Google mesh wifi routers but was advised not to use it because my apartment is relatively small.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi, @Ometofu.

We are here to help.

What troubleshooting steps have you tried?

How many devices do you have connected to your network?

If you have a lot of devices connected to your network, it slows down your internet. The less devices you have connected results in a faster connection. In order to check this , you can use our smart home manager app.

We suggest also that you restart your gateway
