PACE 11.1.0.531418 DMZ Issue
I put my router behind the PACE gateway and set the router as DMZ. The latest firmware is crapping out my fiber connection where I'm only able to get 50mbps down and 1-200 up. I thought it was my router crapping out, but apparently when I connect any other device directly to the gateway, I'm able to pull 940mbps up and down. I swapped an older router and placed that device in the DMZ And it starts acting up and the previous router started working normally.
Can someone look into this?

Do you have Uverse TV? That should be the only reason to block getting the BGW210. And even then it can be worked around with an on-site visit. This assumes you can live with Ethernet/Wireless IPTV.
@drengfer
Okay, looks they are effectively rolling back firmware. However something is afoot if they are actively trying to avoid sending the BGW210. I have yet to see any reported issues with latest firmware FWIW.

@gr8sho, I do have Uverse TV. It's all ethernet/wireless right now anyway so I'm not sure what the issue would be. Just for fun, I plugged in the replacement Pace router they sent me and it had firmware 11.1 loaded on it so it's not even an option to keep that one. They definitely have no idea what they're doing at this point I'd say.

New here-
Im using a Pace and have uverse, 2 things-
1. I'm backreved to 10.7.0.xxxx and I can live with the super slow web interface, but my VPN wont work now, anyone have this issue too, know why?
2. Someone needs to mark this as not solved as ATT isnt going to care if its "solved", is this possible?

What's likely going on is as a Uverse TV customer, the backend systems are forcing the orders to use the older RGs, and not even supervisors appear to be empowered to override. If you get a local tech with the box on the truck, they'd likely take care of you.
@strongmad
My suggestion would be factory reset the RG and if the problem persists, call it in . Can't imagine why the RG would block VPN, but stuff does happen .

DMZ wasnt assigned correctly #palmface. Working good with 10.7xxxx now!
....still, someone needs to remove the "Solved" status on this thread

Unfortunately I called in and spoke with someone, and she insured me they would be sending out a BGW-210, but I got another Pace modem, also with the 11.1 firmware. Issue is still there. I have given up for now. I took my Asus Router, and just put it in Access Point mode, and got my speed back. I will just keep checking every couple of days to see if the firmware got updated again, so I can switch it back to DMZ+ mode.

They sent me another 5268.
I'm not surprised in the least. I expected as much. I'm switching to Xfinity.

How is this still an issue after so many months?

They can't even get the right address for my account after telling them the correct one four different times. Keep having router orders cancelled by their system because it is going to an address that doesn't exist. Going on almost 5 weeks. The incompetence of AT&T is astounding.

My guess is that there are a number of people who have this issue that don't know they have an issue. We only discovered it when we were downloading a game to an xbox and the speeds were laughable slow. If you're not downloading large files or don't have OTT replacement for cable/sat which is using a lot of bandwidth, it's possible to never notice the fact that you're paying between $70-$100/month for 1 gbs up/down fiber but actually getting service that you could get from the cable company for $30-$50/month.
