ONT 010G Failure

My internet went out Wed (16 May) and after some checking I determined the problem is with the fiber to cable converter (ONT 010G) in my garage. I assume the unit failed as there are no indicator lights even though the 12V DC power supply is good. Initially ATT scheduled an appointment for Friday but the repair technician never showed. And upon calling to find out why I was told there is an outage and I will be contacted. Not sure what they mean because all of my neighbors are having no problem. Unfortunately there's no way to contact local technicians to get a clear explanation of what is going. Anyone care to venture an opinion as to what may be going on or my best course of action for resolution? Thanks JB
