New Gigapower Install, low download speeds

I just recently had Gigapower AT&T services installed. Immediately, I went and tested my internet speeds using AT&T PC Maintenance Toolbox. My computer showed green across the board for having the ability to use this service (I had checked it before hand, so this wasn't surprising). What was surprising was when I went to download a 15 gb program I noticed that my download speed was not 1 gb. I understood I probably was not going to get the full speed, but I'm shocked I am currently only getting, at most, 3 mb download speeds. I looked at some of the forums already, seeing that people have problems of only getting 300 mb speeds, well I'm getting 3 mb speeds and I am thoroughly disappointed. I'm not entirely sure if I should call the technician who installed the service again, or wait for a response on here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How is your device connecting to the internet? Wired to the Gateway or WiFi? Have you also tried a different site to test your speed? When I had issues with my Fiber, the technician kept using the Google Fiber Speed Test. It seemed reliable. If not try the AT&T Speed Test website to see your speeds. Currently I get around 800-850 Mbps wired to the Gateway and 300-350 Mbps on 5GHZ WiFi.

Is the router located near speakers, electronic devices, on the carpet or floor, enclosed in a cabinet? AT&T Community Specialist
