Moving ADI Equipment and Upgrade Cost
I have been talking with AT&T for several days now about getting our fiber equipment moved so that we can install our new rack. We have ADI with a managed router.
The closest I got to having my request heard was when a tech talked to me about upgrading our speed which would also require new equipment. I am fine with that since we only have 20mbps, but we are paying a $420 access fee for that speed, and he is telling me that I can get 1gbps for $120 per month. I really do not understand what is going on with this. I tried talking to billing and he could not help me. In his words, "Good luck with this."
I had a representative tell me he was going to put in a move request for me and get back to me through his work cell phone within an hour, so I thought I had finally found the person that I needed. I got a text from him just to get me his number, but that was the end of that. I would text for updates over the next couple of days and I even tried to call, but he never got back to me. This is unbelievably frustrating.
Honestly, I'm about done fighting this at this point.

Are you calling business services, or at least consider posting in the business forum, not residential Internet forum.
What equipment do you have that would need upgrading?
The ONT for fiber, the gateway?
Do not believe ADI 1G would be $180, closer to $2200 a month to my very limited knowledge based upon pre Covid online pricing.

Yes, I have been calling business services, I was not aware there was a business forum, and I was just basing the upgrade claim on what the representative told me. All we have to do is get the AT&T equipment moved off of our wall so that we can get our new network rack and equipment installed.
