Lag issues

Hi,

I've had AT&T Fiber for about 2 months. I have noticed that simple internet accesses tend to lag/time out. For example, when playing Pokemon Go, some interactions with tends to lag/timeout. Same with browsing webpages on my phone - I frequently need to reload or reaccess a web site to get it to load. Stream video isn't a problem usually once it gets going, so I am suspecting it is a problem with lag/dropped requests (power management?) or DNS problem. It does not appear to be a bandwidth problem. Sometimes I simply disable Wifi on my phone and go with LTE :-(

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thank you

Andrew

Let us help with your WiFi experience, @aycsun!

You mentioned your phone, but are you having any problems with other WiFi connected devices on your network?

Check out our Internet Quick Fix post for some easy ways to improve WiFi and internet performance. We recommend starting with the Gateway/router reboot and checking to make sure the connections are secure. It's also a good idea to plug your Gateway/modem directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector) to make sure it's getting adequate power.

Also, our Smart Home Manager can help give you an idea of your WiFi network's health as well as help troubleshoot common problems. Feel free to check it out.

Let us know if these recommendations help improve your speeds.
