Is there any value to buying a VPN for my home WiFi?

The real value of a VPN is to protect you when on a public or non secure WiFi. As long as your home WiFi is secure, it’s really not needed. As noted above, it provides an extra layer of protection.

Thanks for reaching out with the question about the VPN, @wtreasurer60!

Just like @dave006 and @sandblaster already stated, It's really up to you and what you're trying to use it for.

Your Internet service already provides a secured Wi-Fi network.

Hi, I have all of my security restrictions turned "ON" through ATT, and on my personal computer.  I also search using DuckDuckGo.  It really bothers me when I show up to work on Monday, turn on my work PC (Not my home computer) and I get blown up with advertisements from the searches I did over the weekend on my personal computer.  This 'sticky' is creepy.  Because I have all protections on, it seems to me ATT must be selling my data.  How do I stop this?  Is a VPN subscription the solution?  Is there a hardware solution?
