Is AT&T cheating consumers on Internet 1000?

"gigapower internet"  was working close to 900 Mbps after installation. However, I found it slowed down to 40 Mbps to 50 Mbps download speed and 100 Mbps upload speed after I cam back from 3 weeks trip. I have tested using AT&T site, but they say it is running fine at 50 Mbps.

It is not fine as I have contracted 1000 Mbps and paying for it.

Hello @Coronadelmar,

Let me get right on this for you.  I have a few articles which may assist you in finding out the issue. The first article is, What you need for Gigapower speeds. GigaPower is a new service that requires the right hardware. If your device(s) is not compatible with gigabit speeds, you may not be able to take advantage of the plan/ speed you purchased.  The next is AT&T Internet Speed Test. This test measures the speed between your computer and the Internet and can help you determine if you should take steps to improve performance.  The next one is Troubleshoot your AT&T services. Internet problems?  Use our tool to access a world of troubleshooting. Use your ID and password for personalized support.  The final is additional resources for further assistance.  If you should need further assistance please reach back out.

Exact same problem here! After installation a year ago, I was getting download speeds of 600 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 890 Mbps. Now downloads are 120 Mbps and uploads 200 Mbps.

Better than 50Mbps, but still a big disappointing difference.

I will start looking at other options. My guess is that the neighborhood is all on this network so it’s just getting overcrowded.
