Let's see if we can get your Smart Home Manager working, @kchai008.

Are you having trouble signing into Smart Home Manager, or using it even when your within your home network?

We recommend that you access your gateway's interface, and enable remote access. This will allow the Smart Home Manager to access the gateway and let you know about the connected devices.

Let us know if this works.

Hi Marc,

I disabled "remote access" and Smart Home Manager can still access the gateway to see the list of connected devices. How can I configure the gateway to disallow Smart Home Manager to see connected devices?

Hi @kchai008, we can help.

To add additional security to your home network, you can hide your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) from Available Network searches.

This prevents outside users from being able to find your network and access it without your knowledge.

Once you have hidden your network name, you must manually enter your  Wi-Fi network name to get Wi-Fi access.

This process should only be completed by advanced users.

Read the instructions completely before proceeding, as failure to do so can cause a loss of Internet connectivity.

Hi Marc, I was not asking about WiFi access.

There’s no way to block some pages of the gateway. To go into the settings to make changes requires an access code. The default access code can be changed.

@kchai008.

There's no way to prevent Smart Home Manager from seeing connected devices since it's linked to your account even if you don't have it downloaded, at least not with our settings. You might be able to find some way to hide the devices online, but we're curious as to what you need to do this for.

What are you doing that would need you to hide your devices? Maybe there's a different way to accomplish that.

We look forward to your response!
