Houston area: AT&T fiber service has gone down a few times

I'm in Cypress, TX using AT&T fiber. For the first month, I didn't have a single outage and always would get good throughput. The last few weeks have been much worse, though.

I had five outages with durations of ten minutes to three hours. This happened Superbowl Sunday, the next Tuesday, and the next Saturday. The fourth outage was the next Monday and so on.

My AT&T gateway never goes down during these outages (shows green LEDs and is still pingable) and the ONT shows the proper LEDS, too. Just to be on the safe side, I have rebooted it multiple times and restored its default configuration. None of that helps, of course.

Using tracert the first few outages, I saw where the problem was occurring and after service was back up, determined the host that had been problematic was an AT&T host with IP address of 76.250.76.1 (76-250-76-1.lightspeed.hstntx.sbcglobal.net). The fourth outage seemed to be the next hop, 71.149.6.101.

Would an AT&T tech please look at these devices and see why they keep going down?

if you call them they can run a test and possibly look at a backlog this is a customer forum so At&t won’t see your request
