Horrible evening connectivity and timeouts in the Austin/Dallas areas now on its 11th day!

Spinning off a new thread instead of mixing into that (laughable) gaming latency one.

I went back through my logs, this issue has actually been happening every evening since January 9th! Tonight it started early at 6:15 PM CST, likely due to being a weekend.

As noted previously, this is not just a ping/traceroute issue, this is connectivity failure and timeouts with many sites, including Google, YouTube, and any sites that import Google content (i.e. everyone).

Here's the latest, 565 ms through to 8.8.8.8:

I've had AT&T help reach out with the following in the past:

"Hi, I understand your service is being disrupted. Please reply with your name, account #, and a good contact #. Our network teams will take a look at see what they can find. Also, any additional details like the time of day this occurs will be helpful."

So to say that their help is effectively neutered is not exactly true.

They're no longer offering direct messaging.  And they never did bring issues back to engineering anyway, in case that's what you thought you might be getting.  In any event, believe as you wish.

They just direct messaged me last night, from an account with ATT in the name, established in 2004. While I do not expect to receive a response from anyone in the network engineering areas, they did indicate that the message would be passed upstream.

It appears your information may be out of date.

Let me see if I can clear this up:

The Direct Messaging feature still exists.

AT&T Accounts still may use it from time to time to contact people.

ATThelp will no longer be offering Direct Messages as a standard way of communicating with users on these forums.

So, if some AT&T employee not directly involved in the daily ATThelp processing methodology sees a situation in a thread (because, for instance, one or more ACE have pointed it out to someone) and wants to try to gather more information, you may see Direct Message still happen.

We just got this service and last night, we noticed the connection was spinning on the firestick while we tried to stream our TV service. the home manager says everything looks fine. The fiber internet was installed on TH and then they came back out to swap the modem on Sat to see if this was causing some other issues we are having, such as the computer wont load certain websites anymore (says not secure, but it is for Walmart) and the tablet wont stayed connected to the wifi, but it has not been fixed yet. We tried everything the IT experts suggested from the link they sent us, but no luck. Now we are unhappy to see we cant even watch TV without it spinning or getting all pixelated. What a joke! We switched from Spectrum thinking this would be better, but it has definitely not been better at this point and is only causing problems.

@sviscardi85  unless you have the exact same symptoms--including traceroutes or pingplotters, and are in the Austin, TX area-- please create your own thread for your issue.  It is very difficult to troubleshoot different issues that may share a symptom in one thread.

Austin area, and this happened last night. I'm not sure about during the day yet since we recently got the service so I havent used it much yet to see
