Help! Red light on “service” on modem
I was on the phone for 3 hours yesterday and still didn’t get a person to help. My modem light on service is red. There are no reported outages and bills are paid. I have reset, unplugged, etc. anyone have any idea what I can do next? I rely heavily on my internet for my job and can’t seem to get anyone even on the phone at AT&T.

Assuming that you've checked to ensure that the cables connecting your Gateway to the AT&T network are still in place...
Try using the Troubleshoot and Resolve section of the myAT&T app to detect that your circuit is down and schedule a technician visit.

Gateway model?
Internet still working?
The most likely issue is line problem either inside or outside. Animals chewing on wiring from squirrels, birds, mice, rabbits, dogs, cats, etc to damage from nature such as high winds, trees, storms, fire, etc to humans such as digging, auto accidents, etc.
In almost all cases requires a tech appointment to troubleshoot and repair unless you knew the cause such as your pet chewed on the cable from wall to gateway requiring new data cable.

Thank you both for your suggestions! It just randomly started working again this morning without issue so i'm guessing it was an outage.
