Gosund smart plugs
I am unable to install my smart plugs. The error message states I must connect using a 2.4 mhz connection. When I try to use the network for the plug it requests a nonexistent password. Is there a way to adjust the AT&T modem from 5mhz to 2.4mhz?

What you can do is go into the web interface of your gateway/router and go to the wifi settings and turn off the 5ghz band.
Next set up your smart plugs and get them working.
Last step is go back into your wifi setting on your gateway and turn 5ghz back on.
That should take care of the problem.
Note this is necessary because the Gosund smart plug installation software is poorly written.

You are trying to install are not compatible with a 5GHz network connection and require a 2.4GHz connection instead. You can check your AT&T modem settings to see if you can switch the wireless network from 5GHz to 2.4GHz.
Here's how you can do this:
Regarding the password request, it could be that the smart plug is trying to connect to a different wireless network or an older network that is no longer in use. You can try to reset the smart plug and then try connecting again. If the problem persists, you may want to check the smart plug's documentation or reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.
Please note that while you can change the frequency of your wireless network, this change could impact the performance of your other wireless devices that use 5GHz network.

3 year old topic, I'm sure the OP has figured it out by now. Closing to further posting.
