Gateway flashing red

Hi everyone. So I received my equipment today and tired to set it up but it's continuously flashing red on the front of the box. I have rebooted, unplugged it and reset it and it's still flashing red. Please help me figure it out.

Call 800-288-2020 and schedule a tech visit.

Check with the tech to see if you will  be charged for the repair. Hopefully not if it is an outside wiring problem.

Is this new service? If so, did you wait until the activation date?

It's new service and I don't know about any activation date. I am new to AT&T

The equipment can arrive before your service is activated. In one of the many emails you should have been told of the date of activation.

Oh ok thank you so much. It is showing that my date of activation was 12/9. I reached out to tech support and they believe a wire on the outside of my house may have been damaged during the new fence installation before we moved in so I have an appointment tomorrow.
