Fiber outage

Hey community. Got a question for y’all. My neighborhood has been suffering a fiber internet outage for the past seven days with no end in sight. My smart home manager app just says it’s expected to be resolved within 24 hours. It’s says that since the internet went down on the 13th. Is there a way to reach a local technician and get direct answers? All I get from tech support is that people are aware and the issue is being addressed. The app just says the reason for the outage is TBD. I’m at my wits end here. How do I contact a real, local employee who can tell me when I’ll be able to work from home again?

I have been without wifi for almost 4weeks.

2 days ago I was told that issue would be resolved today....yet today has come and almost gone and now the expected date is been pushed for Feb 23rd ???...

Supposedly some equipment or something is in shipping transit? But why is it taking soo long??? 

I need answers not just expected dates that come and go.
