Fiber Internet in Evansville
I am looking to get fiber but have been seeing a lot of issues mentioned. Someone who recently converted to fiber in our development said it went out and they were told it would be a few days before someone can come out. That is ridiculous in today's times and I am really thinking about not switching since I am seeing people complain about speeds dropping in the evenings.
I would like to know what AT&T is doing about all these issues.
Thanks,
Mike

I’ve had att fiber for 4 years in 2 different homes in louisville. One outage due to a contractor cutting the line in my yard to the house.
Main fiber lines can get get cut. Sometimes it takes time to make major repairs.

Standard repair are generally 3 to 5 days for a tech dispatch.
Limited workforce working average 50 to 60 hours per week with normal day being 2 installs and 2 repairs
Based upon the work load before someone calls determines what date/time windows are available.
Residential internet, copper or fiber, is considered entertainment if need greater uptime for WFH or virtual education should have a redundant service in place that could be cable, cellular hotspot or satellite.
