To fix my prob, I went into my old router, re-connected prob device, and re-set device connection from private static to DHCP. Then re-connected prob device to Wi-Fi Gateway. Gateway then allocated a DHCP IP for my device, was then able to re-instate private static ("Fixed" IP) on Wi-Fi Gateway.

First we recommend troubleshooting your gateway to make sure that's not the reason for your ethernet connection not working.
You can fix many common internet issues by restarting your Wi-Fi gateway. Here’s how:
You may also want to try using a different ethernet cord if you have one available. It's possible it could be defective.
If this doesn't help, please let us know! We may need to take a closer look at your service.
