To fix my prob, I went into my old router, re-connected prob device, and re-set device connection from private static to DHCP.  Then re-connected prob device to Wi-Fi Gateway.  Gateway then allocated a DHCP IP for my device, was then able to re-instate private static ("Fixed" IP) on Wi-Fi Gateway.

Let's get your device connected, @RTA44

First we recommend troubleshooting your gateway to make sure that's not the reason for your ethernet connection not working.

You can fix many common internet issues by restarting your Wi-Fi gateway. Here’s how:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the back of your gateway or modem. If you have:
    • An internal battery backup, remove it.
    • DSL service, unplug your telephone cord from your modem or gateway
  2. Wait 20 seconds.
  3. Put the internal battery back in, if applicable.
  4. Plug the power cord back in. If you have DSL service, reconnect the telephone cord.
  5. Wait up to 10 minutes for the gateway or modem to restart and your Broadband light to turn solid green.

You may also want to try using a different ethernet cord if you have one available. It's possible it could be defective.

If this doesn't help, please let us know! We may need to take a closer look at your service.
