Eero with ATT Fiber Modem/Router

I just signed up to receive AT&T fiber. The salesman told me my current EEro mesh extenders that I own will work with AT&T's system. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have been researching online and can't find info on how to make them work together.

Do you just have extenders, or do you have an eero router with extenders?   The router (with extenders) will certainly work with the gateway.  I'm not sure if eero extenders will work with other router/access points.

I only have the extenders. The current ISP I have uses an eero router so I purchases the extenders to work with it. I don't want to have to spend more money on extenders to work with AT&T's system now. Eeros weren't cheap.

Hey @Kelso80, you've come to the correct department to get more information!

Yes, you should be able to set up the Eero extenders with the AT&T equipment. We recommend checking out the Eero user manual, to ensure a seamless set-up.

Let me know if this helps clear up your concerns.

No it actually doesn't. Eeros say the work with only other eeros. I spoke with 2 people at AT&T after starting this thread and they say they will work with your system. The Eero user manual won't be of any help.

Thanks for getting back to us, @Kelso80.

We'd recommend reaching out to the AT&T Hometech support team (paid subscription) for additional assistance. They are fully equipped to help with setting up your third party equipment.

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!

So you want me to pay to find out if equipment I have will work with your system when your other employess can't seem to agree?  Yeah, thats a way to get someone to switch to your service!

Can someone at least give me an answer as to what modem/router will be used for AT&T fiber?

We can answer that, @Kelso80.

We've got a great article that covers everything you need to know about AT&T Internet equipment. While we don't know which specific gateway model you would get with your service, the most common Wi-Fi gateway models include: BGW320, BGW210, Pace 5268, NVG599, and NVG589.

As far as compatibility with your third party mesh extenders goes, you'd want to contact the manufacturer of the extenders once you know which AT&T equipment you'll be using. They will be able to give you a definitive answer to whether or not their equipment is compatible with ours.

Once you know the model of your AT&T Gateway and have been able to confirm compatibility with your mesh extenders, we'll be happy to help with setup if needed.

Let us know if you have any other questions. We'll be happy to get you some answers or point you in the right direction for what you need.

At this point you are 99% likely to get either a BGW320 or a BGW210.  The others listed by Lacey are either retired or well on their way to retirement.  I don't know that this information will help at all in your quest to determine compatibility with the Eero extenders, but there it is.
