Consistently need to reboot my AT&T Gateway to restore Internet connectivity (wired)

I've had my internet for about a month and keep having the internet go out on my Fiber service. The good news is that a simple reboot appears to fix the issue (or at least has the last 6 times), but since this is happening frequently I figured I would ask to see if there is anything I can do to change settings to prevent this from happening.

 

A little about my setup:

  • Wireless disabled on the AT&T Router
  • IP6 disabled
  • 1 computers and 3 eeros plugged into router via wired connection
  • All Eeros operating in pass through mode
  • This is my second AT&T router and still having the issue, AT&T sent a replacement last week

When the internet goes out it hits my wired computer and devices on wireless at the same time. My computer can't even seem to access the routers IP address at 192.x.x.x

 

Please let me know any advice or ideas. Happy to provide additional information too.

Here are three recommendations:

  1. Disable IPv6 on your AT&T provided router/gateway - IPv6 is enabled by default and can cause a slow network and other communication issues
  2. Change the Ethernet port configuration for each port on your AT&T provided router/gateway from Auto-detect to 100BaseT/Full Duplex - This will eliminate auto-negotiation incompatibilities
  3. Google DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) on your devices but retain DHCP

Your symptom could be the result of using DMZ on your AT&T provided router/gateway. Are you using DMZ?

Is it worth assigning fixed IP addresses to the APs on the network?

Is it worth assigning fixed IP addresses to the APs on the network? Using DHCP for an AP will result in renegotiation for its IP address every 24 hours or sooner which could disrupt other data. Most don't even notice.

Thank you. Ip6 is disabled unless there are multiple places to deactivate.

Wireless APs and ATT are not using DMZ.

Will try the duplex setting. Any other ideas to try too?

My speed has slowed down significantly over both wired and wireless because of this or something else. Any advice or logs I should post?

Rebooting the router didn't help the speed sadly. Im getting 80 down and 62 up over wired
