switched to fiber using BWG320 now my workstations cant find the Synology active directory server do I need to setup some firewall rules for lan devices to be able to see other lan devices like the NAS? I cant see any of my shared folders on the NAS or even connect PC;'s to the active directory server printer or anything. I dont have IP passthrough on I just have DHCP set for the range 192.168.20.X/24 and my devices are all static IP with the NAS bing DNS 1 and as DNS 2 what am i doing wrong?

Hi @kc5wua! We hear you, and we're happy to assist you.

We have guides on our website that will walk you through the process of Configuring IP Passthrough.

This configuration is often suitable for a customer desiring to connect third party equipment for networking, such as a router, to the AT&T provided gateway. IP Passthrough is also commonly used as an alternative to using a bridged mode.
Note the following before configuring pass-through mode:

  • Only one device can be put into passthrough mode.
  • Placing a device in passthrough mode will remove firewall protection provided by the AT&T gateway.
  • When a device is configured in passthrough mode, it will be assigned a WAN IP instead of a LAN IP. Other devices connected to your gateway may no longer be able to share files with the device in passthrough mode.

For further assistance, we are always here to help!
