BGW320 use Ethernet ports while doing IP Passthrought?
The wireless range on the BGW320 is not very good so I did IP Passthrough to my Netgear R6400. It works fine, but I think it might be introducing some latency to my Xbox One X even through Ethernet.
Could I keep IP Passthrough enabled and use the router, but ALSO have my Xbox hooked directly via Ethernet to the 320? FYI I did not turn off any of the modem firewalls.

I can't say with 100% certainty for the BGW320, but every other GW I've used could do exactly what you want (BGW210, NVG599, NVG589, Pace 5268ac). I have a wireless SSID dedicated to that to bypass my equipment in the case of a failure.

Yes you can still connect wired devices to the gateway.

No, of course you can’t do that. You can’t bypass the router in your gateway and then still expect it to be a router… it no longer has an IP address to route!

Of course you can. The Ethernet ports (and wifi for that matter) still work. You misunderstand exactly what IP Passthrough actually does.
Closing old thread.
