AT&T Fiber and Eero

I have AT&T Fiber using Internal ONT Fiber Jack to a BGW210 Gateway. Any idea if I can replace the Gateway with an Eero whole-home WiFi system? I would think I could go from the Fiber Jack to the Eero with Ethernet just fine? I’m not really please with WiFi coverage using AT&T-provided Gateway. Thanks

Yes and no. You can't replace the gateway because it is required by AT&T. But you can place the gateway in IP-Passthrough mode and use a separate mesh router. Just allow the secondary router to handle all of the router duties and WiFi. AT&T gateways don't support bridge mode so you have to use passthrough.

Thanks so much. Everything I have read today points to exactly what you described.

Good luck. And, if possible, I'd hardwire your satellites back to the Eero router instead of using the the private WiFi backchannel. Much better stability.
