At&t extender

In the front of the extender there is a white light flashing and will not connect

Which model of Extender do you have?

4920, 4921, or 4971

Front Service LED
LED color State Meaning
OFF OFF No power. Make sure the Wi-Fi extender is plugged in to a working wall outlet and the back power LED is green.
White

Blink Starting up and connecting to your Wi-Fi gateway.
Solid Connected to your Wi-Fi gateway.
Green/Red Flash Connected but too far from your Wi-Fi gateway or another AT&T Wi-Fi Extender. Move your Wi-Fi extender closer to your gateway.
Red Blink (slow) Lost connection or couldn’t connect through Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Check for loose or damaged Ethernet connection then press the red reset button. Or, press the WPS button again.
Blink (fast) Mulitple devices trying to connect. Wait before trying again. Or, your extender is resetting and may take up to 3 minutes to power on.
Solid Couldn't connect to the paired gateway or it’s connected to an unsupported third-party router or smart device by Ethernet. Disconnect all Ethernet connections. Then, connect the extender by Ethernet just to your Wi-Fi gateway.
Amber Blink Seamless connection is in process or the extender is checking for updates. Don't move the Wi-Fi extender or turn it off.

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) light meanings
Press the WPS button on the back of the extender to start pairing. Watch the service LED on the front of the extender to check the WPS status.
LED color State Meaning
Red Blink (fast)
  • There is more than one Wi-Fi device trying to connect. Please wait before trying again.
  • Your extender is restarting and may take up to 5 minutes to complete.
Red Blink (slow)
Red
Couldn't connect devices through WPS. Wait until the light changes and then press the WPS button to try again.
Green Solid Wi-Fi device successfully paired. WPS completed.
Green Blink (slow) Take action on the Wi-Fi device you are trying to connect. You may also choose to add an Ethernet cable from the extender back ethernet port to the gateway yellow ethernet port.

Extender 4920 with no blinking lights.  Rebooted through Smart Home manager app - shows extender off line.  Rebooted Wifi gateway, cables, plugs working.  No luck.  Please help!
