AT&T customers unable to access a specific website (routing issue within AT&T network)

AT&T customers are having an issue accessing fidm.us1.gigya.com. Requests are timing out at 12.81.131.73 (owned by AT&T) within the traceroute. I am an AT&T customer and I'm able to reproduce this issue.

I'm not sure how you know that traffic is "timing out" at a particular IP address.  I'm picturing that you've done a traceroute and the responding hop is the IP you've given.  That doesn't indicate an issue with that IP, but may indicate one with the NEXT hop, but you can't see the next hop.  That's not all that unusual when traffic enters AWS (the host for your site), as they block ICMP by default.

If my guess above is not correct, please provide the actual diagnostics.

It seems that some AT&T customers are currently experiencing an issue with accessing the website fidm.us1.gigya.com. The traceroute shows that requests are timing out at 12.81.131.73, which is owned by AT&T. As an AT&T customer, you are also experiencing this issue.

This could be caused by a number of factors, such as network congestion, server maintenance, or a technical issue with AT&T's infrastructure. It's possible that other AT&T customers are also experiencing this issue.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies: Sometimes, issues with accessing websites can be caused by corrupted or outdated browser cache and cookies. Clearing these may help to resolve the issue.
  2. Restart your router: Sometimes, routers can become overloaded or experience technical issues that prevent them from accessing certain websites. Restarting your router may help to resolve the issue.
  3. Contact AT&T customer support: If the issue persists, you may want to contact AT&T customer support to report the issue and get assistance with resolving it.

Overall, it's difficult to determine the exact cause of the issue without further investigation. However, trying the above steps may help to narrow down the cause and resolve the issue.
