Airties / Smart with extender with Fiber 1000
I have Att fiber 1000 service and get 980 mbps consistently on my computer and Xbox that have wired connections. But every wifi connection off the airties 4920 is only 200-300 mbps. I thought it was a limitation of the extender, but the Ethernet ports and specs say it is a 2 gbps device. Anybody know how I can get full the full speed I’m paying for?

Thanks Dave. Good to know. I can certainly live with 2-300 Mbps on wifi if that's the max I can get, I was just frustrated that it wasn't delivering the full speed of the service, since my AirTies are hard wired to the Gateway for a 1 Gbps backhaul. I am using 802.11 ac devices and I turned off the 2 GHz transmission on the Gateway to maximize speeds using 5 GHz only (I have four AirTies, so the range is short everywhere in the house). I guess it's really not worth having the gigabit service from AT&T since almost all my household devices are on wifi. I only have one computer that has a wired connection to the Gateway. I do love seeing 980 Mbps though on Ookla. Haha.
