Price increased for this month with no notice
So I signed up for the autopay and paperless billing when they sent the email out a few months ago saying that if you didn't do that come September the fee would increase. Well I did that and have been paying with autopay and yet this month's bill is charging me exactly 5 dollars more???? Why? I set it up to avoid this and yet I got charged more. AT&T please explain because even clicking on the bill to see why is there a charge it just says your bill increase no (Edited per community guidelines) I can see that what I want to know is WHY???

The increase was coming regardless, signing up for the discount of autopay/ paperless billing provides a $5 reduction (discount) helping to offset the $5 increase… does not prevent the $5 increase.
Does your bill show the $5 Discount?

Yes it says it's included that's why I'm confused what the extra 5 is for and there's no explanation it just says your bill increased like if that was an answer. And trying to get a hold of a Rep online or by phone is time consuming they never answer

Is your autopay connected to a CREDIT CARD (vs. debit card)?
The $10 discount for autopay was reduced to $5 if you use a credit card.

Look on previous bills for a notice that the monthly price was increasing.
