Is my ATT Fiber IP Static?

In order to access the admin section of a client's website, I need to have my IP address whitelisted. I just had ATT Fiber installed. If I provide the client my IP address, will that work, is it static, or does it change often? - Thanks

It is dynamic, but it changes so rarely its fairly safe to use in lieu of a static IP.

The only time it really ever changes is on port change, sometimes if equipment (RG/ONT) gets replaced, and a few other odd situations that rarely come up.

AT&T cannot change fiber IPs, I've requested this in the past many times and was told it wasn't possible every time.

Can we send a request to get a static IP address?

Thanks for writing us @fiberuser20240225.

We understand your concern with regard to Static IP address. We'd be happy to help.

In response to your inquiry: Absolutely, you have the option to request a static IP address. AT&T does provide static IP addresses in blocks of: 8, 16, 32, 64, and 128.

AT&T Static IP address are available as a bolt-on; they are prices at a premium above the standard dynamic IP price. Premiums vary depending on the size of the Static IP block. You will need to contact us to discuss your options.

We'd also recommend that you check out this article About Static IP addresses.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you.
