What kind of Internet service do you have?  I ask because it is very strange to be getting traffic from an address like 10.55.115.145.  And how did you reach the conclusion that the address is at a location in California?

Simple answer is you can't since this it s private non-routeable IP address on the internet. The 10.x.x.x Network is private.

Are you sure this is the IP is correct in your logs and how have you determined it is coming from California?

Are you using traceroute commands and they stop in California at your first or second routing gateway?

I was just trying to provide rope.

I'm thinking it could be theoretically possible within a CGN like AT&T's Wireless / Fixed Wireless network.

We're here to help answer your question @johnbazemore.

We understand how frustrating it can be getting attacked. There is nothing that can be done here being that the attacker is not an AT&T internet user.

  • Is your network protected?

Please let us know if that addressed your concern.
