Guest Wi-Fi not working when BGW320-505 gateway is in passthrough mode

My BGW320-505 gateway is in passthrough mode connected to a managed firewall/router for my LAN. I've enabled Guest Wi-Fi on the gateway for access to the Internet but not to my LAN. The AT&T Smart Home Manager cellphone app shows that Guest Wi-Fi is enabled (button on right and shows green) on the "My Wi-Fi" page but the "Wi-Fi name (Guest)" SSID I've entered doesn't show up as an available network on any device. Also, there doesn't appear to be any way to chose the Wi-Fi channel for guest access. Does "Guest Wi-Fi" not work with the gateway in passthrough mode? If not, is there an alternative or workaround?

I know of no reason why the Guest Network wouldn't work in Passthrough mode, though given that you have a router behind your Gateway, if you don't have anything else connected to your Gateway, you probably don't need an explicit Guest mode.

The Guest SSID will require that you leave the 2.4 GHz radio on.  Did you perhaps turn that off (
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Configuration > Wi-Fi Operation )?

You were exactly correct. I had turned off 2.4GHz WiFi thinking that the Guest WiFi would be enabled/disabled separately. It has to be on for a Guest WiFi but I hid the SSID for the regular 2.4GHz hoping that would disable access to it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
