Can't connect to game server (Path of Exile) PC. Bad AT&T Path/Route and Hops, 75-100% Packet Loss!
I have played Path of Exile (POE) for years, within the last 6 mo. to 1 yr. my pathing/route has changed and suddenly my connection has become unstable. It is very slow to connect to the server, and once inside and I can be dropped due to the packet loss I am experiencing. This is the ONLY PC Game that I have an issue with. Customer service is unable to help due to their tier 1 tech support and limited access to tools to actually correct the problem. This is not listed as a service under the "paid tech support" that is offered either. Nor would I pay them to correct their problem.
My in house network if working with no problems as well as my computer. As you can see in the picture below, it takes me outside of California, then back to connect to the server in San Jose. These routes make absolutely no sense.
Hops 1-2 are my routers. 1 being the AT&T Router and 2 ASUS router. They are both configured correctly. But, for AT&T to route me outside of California, then back to end up in San Jose, it wrong. This has been going on to long for it to be maintenance or a temporary detour...
Please reply if you have specific knowledge how I can get this changed thru AT&T. I don't need another "Have you rebooted your modem" statement for people who have zero clue about networks. I am specifically looking for a AT&T Network Engineer, Senior or Manager. Thank You.

Hi, @The_Duck.
AT&T doesn't route traffic from your PC. The routing is going to be determined by the service you are trying to access.
The paid tech support you were referring to, ConnecTech, may be able to find a way to help the issue, but we would recommend reaching out to the developers of the game to make sure this is working as intended.
