Can’t connect my internet to my Xbox and Ps5

I’ve had this problem for the past week now my consoles connect to my Wi-Fi but they can’t connect to the internet I’m not sure why can someone help!?

We'd be happy to help point you in the right direction. Let's get the gaming console connected to the internet again @Bryan1017

 

 

Make sure that you're following the steps to connect your PS4 correctly by following our guide on Troubleshooting your PlayStation. You'll see the appropriate steps to connect your console wirelessly, as well as online.

 

 

We also suggest that you restart your gateway by unplugging the power connection behind the gateway for ~15 seconds, then plugging it back in and waiting for the broadband light to turn green. This will refresh the Wi-Fi connection and should get you connected faster.

 

 

Wi-Fi is a distance driven connection, the farther away the gaming console is to the AT&T equipment, the more connection problems can present themselves. So bringing them closer together, will not only keep the connection a lot more stable, but it will also improve the Wi-Fi performance as a whole.

  • Option 1: Move the gaming console into the same room as the AT&T equipment
  • Option 2: Move the AT&T equipment into the same room as the gaming console. 

 

 

GOOD TO KNOW :

 

1. Could you please try and reset your Xbox network settings back to factory settings.

2. Make sure your Xbox and PS5 have the latest system updates. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues.

3. Check NAT type. Sometimes strict NAT settings can cause connectivity issues.

4. Try a factory reset on your AT&T All-Fi hub. Sometimes this can resolve connectivity issues.

5. Check router settings, and try changing the channel.

 

 

NOTE : One last thing that we just thought of is, that the gaming console could be on a restriction that is preventing it to connect to the Wi-Fi. Look at the Smart Home Manger to see if the console is being governed by Parental Controls.

It is also affecting my phones to sometimes I can’t send messages and it says I’m not connected to the internet my Chromebook work and my tv

We recommend that you try resetting your Wi-Fi gateway to original settings.

 

Before you factory reset: Be sure to jot down your custom settings, like your static IP address if you have one, or your Wi-Fi network name (SSID). You can then change them back after the factory reset.
