BYER BEWARE: AT&T $20 Promotional Scam
When I upgraded my DSL75 internet to Fiber 300, I was offered the promotional $20 discount for twelve months. My internet was accidentally cancelled by AT&T. I immediately called AT&T on the same day to reinstate my internet services. After the internet has been reinstated, I noticed that I have lost the promotional $20 discount for twelve months. AT&T rep Mackenzie and Anthony told me that "I can understand your situation as there a cancellation of services were occurred which the reason why you are not see the promotions after restoring the services and promotions are automatically generated which we are not able to do anything" I am very disappointed at how AT&T deal with it's customer.

Were the AT&T people regular phone support reps?
Call the 800-288-2020 number and when prompted say "Cancel Service". That should get you to the Retention/Loyalty dept where they have the ability and tools to fix this.
Of course this presumes the situation is exactly how you describe.
