AT&T sent me a Visa Debit reward card with ZERO balance -- I will be calling to cancel tomorrow morning because of this scam

I ordered AT&T Fiber with the promise of a $150 reward card. I received the card and called to activate it. After doing so, it said I had "zero balance." The card doesn't even register with the online rewards center (rewardcenter.att.com/reward).

I have liked the service so far, but will have to cancel and switch to the other local provider because AT&T has ripped me off. The rewards center only accepts phone calls during limited times (inconvenient for a person with a job).

Why induce a person to sign up and rip them off? I probably would have signed up without the reward offering, but I cannot trust AT&T (and am happy I didn't choose to transfer my wireless service).

It got resolved. Really poor communication by the rewards center (their system was down for several days but no one bothered to put a notice on the site or phone system).
