$200 rewards card with Internet 1000 a scam?
I had an AT&T salesman randomly come to my apartment shortly after moving who told me I'd save about 40 bucks a month switching from Cox gigablast to AT&T internet 1000. He also said that a perk of switching would be a $200 gift card that was part of the deal. Its been about a month and a half since installation, which the AT&T rewards website says is the window for when I should have recieved my rewards claim number. But no letter came and my account number comes up with nothing on the rewards website. I looked up the original receipt for the order and it says the "dealer" was Smart Circle D2D which I had never heard of. I looked it up and found out on these forums about these salesmen who make promises for certain services or discounts or rewards cards and then never actually pay up when the time comes. I tried calling the AT&T rewards phone line but I have been left on hold for over an hour and I don't have time like that to waste so I have to give up every time. I can't find an alternative way of getting in contact with AT&T to find out what the truth is. A major selling point for switching to AT&T was that rewards card and now I'm finding out it was maybe a scam the whole time? And I can't even get a hold of AT&T to find out? What the heck?
