Offer of free AT&T Cell Booster by going to: att.com/AcceptMyDevice NOT WORKING
Hello,
I have a microcell to boost my signal. As 3G is going away, AT&T says to go to att.com/AcceptMyDevice to accept a free AT&T Cell Booster as supplies last. I've been trying to access the site for days from my phone and my laptop and it doesn't work. Recently sent a message to AT&T requesting assistance. Has anyone had the same issue or has anyone out there been able to access the site successfully?

Yeah, firmware can only do so much. It will need to build on the existing hardware to really make it shine. I've got *zero* complaints about mine as it stands now.
I was hoping to pick up on the Pro version's whitelisting capability. You know, to ensure family, visitors and any AT&T using neighbor gets a shot at decent service.

@wolfox Other than the ability to add more concurrent users I really don't think the open system is going to be the much of a problem for most users. Apartment users may have issues but the CBP would be a huge problem with the radio outputs.
Unless AT&T adds an alpha tag to the CB (which I don't think they are going to do, maybe) there is no way to know which "tower" a user is connected to because the phone will just indicate LTE. And any data used will be counted against the cell phone owner's account, not the CB.
I've talked to some FirstNet users who already have theirs but the whitelisting is not available yet, at least last time we talked. Keep in mind that the CBP is meant for Enterprise and FirstNet accounts so there may be some additional requirements in purchasing and activating one. If you want to spend $700 for the CBP, and there are no issues using it for in-home use and Enterprise (businesses) or FirstNet, then go for it.

@OttoPylot Aye Aye, I read you there. It was just a thought. Funnily enough since it all goes through a VPN, I can't account every bit of data passing through it. I'm just wondering since my ISP can still not account and log usage. (Limited Xfinity 1024 GB/month usage)
But after recent upgrade to higher speeds and new modem? My use counter has remained locked at 54GB usage since last turn of the month. So I'm not immediately worried on that front until account security and audit tracking catches up to me.
(And I fortunately do have cash to splash out on the Pro CB model) Not bragging, but I have resources and will happily turn them out to ensure home and a wide spreading helping hand.

@wolfox Hmmm, I basically have unlimited Xfinity data usage (well a TB but that's more than enough for us).

@OttoPylot A TB/month is quite adequate for the household here as well. Only a fairly small margin of power to excessive users could pitch themselves off that cliff.
I could not account for and trace the MCell initial usage, but for a good 16Hrs, it went full bore. Whether that was AT&T informatics and testing or what: initially the switch, modem and router lights were *blazing* and then it settled down completely to where there is no discernible activity unless it was being used after day 3 of activation.
My only "in the moment" advantage with my cable ISP is that the day and moment I activated and upgraded into a service boost (DOCSIS 3.1) they've completely dropped the ball. I've reported in of course, I want the speed package I paid for, but that upgrade cost me no more than I already was paying per/month. And with a frozen usage meter?
Essentially unlimited until they can fix the problem. I've been a mad downloading and streaming fiend until I get notification that they've fixed it. That includes giving 4G-LTE to all. ;>

@wolfox I think I've mentioned this but I don't use Comcast supplied equipment. I use a Motorola DOCSIS 3.1 modem (Xfinity certified) and a Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi system, and Comcast keeps upping my download speeds and keeping the cost the same.

@OttoPylot Ditto.
I use a Motorola modem with a Netgear Nighhthawks tri-band Wi-Fi X6 3200Mb/sec on Wi-Fi alone router w/Tomato flash. Cisco and Netgear 1000mb switches. Cat-6E on any cable needed.
It's a provisioning problem. I've had a Comcast tech here last Thursday that got one look around at the network gear and machines and the AT&T furbished phones, tablets and he whistled. Signal to home, through the drop, burial cable and home run up to the CPE MODEM is flawless. No fault in my self-install. (Thus no charge for home visit)
My room alone looks like Darth Vader's flusher. It's not the equipment here, he rapidly established. Xfinity in my specific region has HUGE problems actually provisioning users of my caliber up to the package limits they order. I was the 11th 600+ Mb/sec customer he saw this week that Comcast couldn't provision, but sold a package anyway.
I have live, direct contact with the big brains in Philly, the engineering team has issued a ticket and assurance that they will fix it ASAP. I'm just waiting. :> I never had, nor ever will rent/lease some depreciated Xfinity Xb-whatever gateway, modem/router combo if my life depended on it. 15+ years, I always rolled my own.

@wolfox That's unfortunate. We never had cable internet until we moved to our current location and Comcast was the only viable alternative. Other than the cost, service has always been solid with very few issues. It probably helps that Comcast had to run a new line from the box at the edge of our lawn to the MPOE on the side of the house when we moved in an setup service so all of that is new.
However, we are moving away from the purpose of this thread so we need to get back on point.
