I purchased 2 microcells at a yard salebut cant deactivate them can you help me

I purchased 2 microcells at a yard salebut cant deactivate them can you help me. The person who sold them said one was from a family member and the other was thiers, but I get errors while activating, thank you for your help

This is the problem with buying used Mcells.  The owners usually do not deactivate the Mcell with AT&T when they decide they want to sell them.  The AT&T database sees that you are trying to deactivate a Mcell that is registered to someone else and stops the process.  AT&T is extremely reluctant to help with this as they have no idea if the Mcell was stolen or not.

 

You best bet is to go back to the sellers and request them to deactivate the Mcells thru their AT&T accounts.  If they no longer have an AT&T account, you are probably out of luck unless you can convince AT&T to re-register the Mcells and that is just about impossible.
