cisco 3g microcell dropping calls
I have a smasung galaxy s4 and have had drooped calls and failed text messages since I got the microcell about 2 months ago. at&t replaced the microcell and still no luck. It starts and connects fine but consistently, sporadically drops calls. When I catch it, the 3g blinks green. AT&T support consistently has me hard boot, reactivate etc. to no avail. Help! Geez, sorry guys. Obviously my info was flawed this time. It could still be that the Verizon femtocell is messing with the MicroCell if both are on the same network. What ever the cause I'd suggest going with what ever works for you. I have no allegiance to either one.

Ok then. That narrows it down to something either inteferring with the MicroCell's VoIP or the MicroCell itself being defective. You could try to see if the MicroCell works in a different location. In other words, take it to a friend's house who has AT&T celluar service (post paid) and set it up. If it does work that at least narrows it down to possibly a router and/or modem config. That's definitely a hassle and a pain but it might yield some useful information. Verizon's VoIP service is different than AT&T's, with different protocol requirements, so it is possible that there is a modem config setting somewhere that is causing issues.
There have also been multiple reported issues with the MicroCell and the Samsung Galaxy phones, probably beause of the different flavors of OS systems. We have Samsung reps who are available to us from time to time becuase of the number of issues that have been reported with the Samsung phones (issues ofther than the MicroCell). Their usual response is the SIM card swap, upgading the OS, etc. I can ask to see if they can shed any light if you'd like. No gurarantees for a swift response or even a fix though.
