AT&T free cell booster.

I received a letter from AT&T stating that the microcell was not going to work any more. IT said go to at&t.com/acceptmydevice and register for a free cell booster. However, that link does not work. What now?

Yes, I did. att.com/ActivateMyDevice . I type in my cell phone number. I get texted a code on my phone, enter the code and then I get the message "Something went wrong." I tried over and over again. if you wish I can make a screenshot to prove it doesn't work- I suggest you call 611 on your iPhone and talk to a rep. She acknowledged with her manager there is a problem with the site and ordered me one and then sent me a text confirming my order.

@marypie No one is doubting that you are having issues so no screen shot is necessary. I have talked to the AT&T Mobility group and while they acknowledge that there is indeed issues with the weblink all they can, or will say is that they are working on it 🙄. 611 is a good idea and I'm glad you got thru to someone who knows what is going on and can help. Good job. Come back when you get it and let us know how it works.

Same isue. Tried on mobile and 3 PC's and it loops through the website with logout successful. Can't believe ATT can;t get a simple webpage up.

I did try turning off wifi on my phone and was able to get through today (on Firefox, not on Safari).  Message says:  "Promotional offer has expired.  Supplies were limited.  Promotion has ended."  Two weeks ago I called AT&T and they said to try again in 72 hours, which I have tried many times since, with the same loop happening.  They also said, "Oh, don't worry!  We have plenty of the cell boosters for everyone!  Keep trying."  I'm pretty angry.

I’ll try calling 611, it don’t have time today or tomorrow. Someone above got through a day or so ago and was able to get one. Not happy about this.

@mowanlark @RosieLN  and anyone else....

I just received confirmation that AT&T has indeed stopped the free Cell Booster campaign because their cap on free units has been achieved. Even tho the weblink never really worked reliably it has now been shutdown officially. It MIGHT be possible to get one if you can find a CS Agent who is willing to try but my guess is that won't be possible.

The idea was to get free Cell Boosters to as many MicroCell users who had accounts that showed current activity. Those were sent out without the users having to do anything. Those that were missed, were part of the second email campaign to capture as many of those folks as was possible and the idea was for them to contact AT&T stating that they still needed one. That was not handled well at all and so here we are.

There are no current plans to do another free campaign but, like with the MicroCell, that may change in the future on a case by case basis.

Wow, I used mine every day and have been trying to get one since they sent their stupid first text to my husband’s phone in December. We have negligible cell coverage and our AT&T Wi-Fi isn’t as good as the microcell was. Very disappointing. I want to change providers - have been with AT&T for over 20 years (well, started with Cingular)…..but probably won’t. I’ll just be angry forever.
