What happens when a contact sensor is altered (removed, wires cut, etc)
Can a contact sensor be tampered without any alarm or notification? What happens if the wires connecting to a contact sensor is cut?

If the sensor is tampered with or the wires to the sensor cut while alarm is not set, your alarm panel will show (labeled room) sensor tampered with. Also it will show the same when you log into the app. You can get this tamper alert by just replacing a low battery with a good one if you do it without putting in a test mode. Very easy to get the tamper alert and not always easy to clear. If the alarm is set the system will go into alarm with notification to the alarm company.
