Wi-fi Calling - iPhone SE - is it working?

I Have an iPhone SE with "Wi-Fi Calling" turned on in iOS settings.

If I turn off "Cellular" on iOS settings, I can not make voice phone calls.

Why is this happening?

That would indicate your phone  is not connecting to ATT’s network over WiFi. Just being on WiFi is not enough. You aren’t on WiFi calling until you see “AT&T WiFi” on the display. It may take a minute or two to connect.

Thanks for the response...

So here are some screen grabs.  When I dial a phone number all I get is 3 beeps.

Not sure what to tell you. You are clearly on AT&T WiFi, your calls should be going through. My only suggestion is try rebooting the phone. Reboots often clear up iPhone issues.

Thanks for the feed back - it helps.

Good idea - but, the re-boot didn't help

One article said it took about an hour for the Wi-Fi Calling to connect the first time... so, I'll wait an hour.

Also, I started a thread at the Comcast Xfinity community forum to see if there is some problem with Comcast... although, that would seem unlikely.

I'm using Vonage on my Comcast internet service to make "land line" phone calls which is somewhat similar to "Wi-Fi Calling" technology.

Also, when I turn "Wi-Fi Calling" off and then back on in iOS settings - it seems to be connecting to my AT&T account and not giving any kind of error message that indicates a problem.  I did notice that Cellular Service has to be turned on so that you can turn "Wi-Fi Calling" on or off.

So, I called AT&T support and we did as follows -

checked my Carrier Settings: 32.0.1 (my iPhone has the correct version of AT&T settings).

Did: Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings

The AT&T tech guy reset my AT&T account.

Wi-Fi Calling still does not work - but, the tech guy said to try again tomorrow after his account reset has a chance to filter through the AT&T system

Also, I just noticed LTE phone calls also do not work

So, at this point, voice calls can not be made from my iPhone.

I'll wait until tomorrow and call AT&T support again.

I tested my iPhone 12 hours after AT&T support re-set my account profile - and, everything is working correctly.

Wi-Fi calling is fantastic and has solved my problem with poor cell network signal strength in my home (usually about 1 bar out of 4).

Cell phone calls using Wi-Fi Calling are crystal clear.

My internet service provider is Comcast (aka Xfinity).  I have about 140 Mbps download and 6 Mbps upload speed.

My Wi-Fi rounter is a LinkSys EA8500 AC2600 MU-MIMO Gigabit Router.

My cable modem is a 6 year old Motorola SB6120.

My iPhone SE is one of the smartphones that AT&T lists as supporting AT&T/iOS Wi-Fi Calling.
