So the iPhone 6 was reported lost or stolen. The previous owner is the only one who can unblock the phone. You cannot use the iPhone 6. Your sim is now associated with the IMEI of the blocked phone. Contact ATT directly to fix. YOU WILL NOT BE CONTACTED FROM A POST HERE!! Visit an ATT company store where they can fix the IMEI on your account or replace the SIM card.

Is this a phone that you purchased from AT&T or a private individual?
How long have you owned the phone?
Are you on a plan that someone else has control of?
It could be that the phone was listed as lost or stolen.

Did someone give it to you for Christmas last year? Previous owner owner probably reported it lost or stolen. But take iPhone to AT&T Corperate Store and find out what's going on.

Hi. I'm with Verizon, and I began receiving those same messages this past weekend. On a few occasions, coincident with receiving the pop -up notifications, the phone camera flashes about five times in rapid sequence. The first time I saw it happen, there was one instance of five flashes. Yesterday I had multiple instances of five flashes about one minute apart. It appears to be a distress signal. I recommend that you examine your phone apps and settings for signs / evidence of a remote user account. In my caspretty sure that's

Your friend is wrong. The phone is either reported lost or stolen, or replaced by insurance.
Your SIM card has been associated with that phone and may need to be replaced.
