Yes, if you pay off your device or use a pay to upgrade (available on some Next plans and may be presented as an upgrade option), you will be able to upgrade immediately.

can I trade my IPhone 6s for the new IPhone 7S 

 

without any exspense other then the monthly leasing fee ?

No, you only have 14 days buyer's remorse period to exchange phones. After the 14 day buyer's remorse period, to trade in your 6s, you must pay it off to the trade in payment or you can pay it off in full and sell the phone to recover the cost, then you can start a new NEXT plan.

If you are on the NEXT plan and paid up to the trade in payment (or beyond) or if your phone is out of contract, yes, otherwise, no.

Only for customers on old plans that still allow contract upgrades.   New customers do not have these options.  I'm in the process of switching to Verizon.  The only plan open to me is the New Verizon Plan, which does NOT have contract options.
