What should I pay attention to if I plan to sell my old iPhone 6 online?

I plan to sell my old iPhone 6 divice on ebay, the only thing I worry about  is the text message, I've already deleted it, but still worry about someone could recover my messages. What should I do?

I'd also unlock it, so that you can advertised it as "unlocked".

Hello @Seabag!

I am glad to make your acquaintance! The ability to sell your device online can definitely have its rewards for you! I’ll be glad to share additional steps in regards to your phones sale readiness.

I would highly recommend to log out of your Apple ID services on the phone before resetting the device to factory settings. The benefit of logging out of all Apple ID services ensures your personal information is able to be restored. To learn more about this process and additional tips, please click here.

I hope this helps to answer your question, have an amazing rest of your day!

1. Log out Apple ID

2. Log out from App/iTunes Store

3. Log out iCloud

4. Turn off "Find my iPhone" service

5. Erase the messages with random data before factory reset

6. Factory reset

I tried to factory reset my iPhone but it seems didn't wipe my iphone data clean, I find many app to wipe my iPhone, some didn't identify my device, and some didn't install correctly!

I finally used Safewiper for iOS to wipe my iPhone, works, but not free, I used the trail version to wipe my 50 messages.

i'm going to purchase the full version. Any suggestion?
