Voicemail Not Working?

When I first got my phone my voicemail worked fine, however I do not receive voicemails anymore and I can’t edit my voicemail greeting as it gives an error message 

“The operation couldn’t be completed. ( error1035.)

Trying to resolve this issue, and I’ve attempted restarting the phone, refreshing the iOS, and turning on call forwarding but it doesn’t stay turned on

Hi there @ajjack09, we're here to assist you with your voicemail inquiry of this feature not working.


We want to make sure you set up your voicemail within 60 days of activation, or it’ll be automatically removed from your account. If you have a new phone, or recently changed your phone or SIM card, you may need to set up your voicemail. Go to Device Support to learn how to set up voicemail on your phone.


Your phone needs a wireless connection to receive calls, access voicemail, and get voicemail notification alerts. To check that your signal is strong enough for this:

  1. Turn your phone off for 10 seconds and then back on.
  2. Place a test call to 611.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If the test call is successful, press and hold 1 to dial into the voicemail system.
    • If your test call fails, confirm you have wireless coverage.
