Verizon Apple Watch to work with AT&T?

Postpaid account, can you use an Apple Watch series 3 that is currently on Verizon’s network, and have it switched to AT&T to work for cellular usage not only Bluetooth?

Hello @gm4343,

Welcome to the Community Forums! This is an excellent question, and I would be more than happy to address it for you.

Yes, you can use the Apple Watch on either carrier, just make sure you go into the Watch app > My Watch tab > Cellular. You will find the setting here, and if you don’t see your current carrier on there, select Add a New Plan.

I hope this fully addressed your concern. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Hello @AT

I attempted to move to Verizon from AT&T today, I have 3 iPhone 8+(owned) and 2 Apple Watch Series 3 + Cellular(Owned). Verizon was attempting to input the IMEI of each watch into their system and it was being rejected. The story is, AT&T owns the IMEI(even though I already paid off the devices and got unlock approval from AT&T 24 hours earlier) and would need to release it so Verizon could pick it up. Also told that no matter if you go from AT&T to Verizon or vice-versa. Would the AW's have to be canceled from my AT&T account and have the association completely removed within the AT&T system before it would be released to another carrier?

im surprised the iPhones worked...  Unless they were not the model that ATT sells.  As for the apple watch its a little different...  You may have to contact apple and see whats up since they use apples next gen esims...  Verizons system should not reject a imei in the first place...  Did you remove numbersync before you canceled service?

I bought my Apple Watch Series 3 from Verizon and tried to port it to ATT after 2 years and ATT was not able to set up my Verizon-Apple-Watch to use ATT Cellular plan.
