My phone was due for an upgrade which I did and just received/set up (IPhone 😎 but realized I accidentally picked the wrong phone then what I wanted (IPhone 8plus). Is there a way to fix this

You would have to go through the return process, wait for upgrade to reset and then purchase the different phone. You have only 14 days and there is a $45 restock fee.
