Upgrade device has not worked on website or app for some time

I have been trying to upgrade my phone for the last few weeks, every time I log onto the My AT&T app or the website and start the process, I just get an error. Is anyone else having the same issue? I have auto-pay on both my wireless and streaming TV account, so it isn't due to my account or anything. I would like to see my options but cannot ever get through the upgrade process. And I don't really want to go into a store to do something that should be super simple online.

Thanks,

Jackie D.

Hello @jdoehling,

We'd like to look into why you aren't able process your upgrade online.

With more details, we'll be able to assist you to the best of our ability:

  • What error messages are you receiving when you try to process your upgrade?
  • Has there been any recent upgrades on your wireless account?
  • Also, have you tried clearing history and cache and re trying?

Please let us know.

This appears to be an issue for many people. It’s a generic message of “uh-oh!  Something went wrong. We’re having trouble updating your cart. Please try again in a bit or call us.”

This happens when selecting a line that is available to upgrade. It occurs in the app. On the website using any browser; and is NOT fixed by removing cookies, clearing cache or deleting app and reinstalling.
