Unlock website down

I tried to unlock my phone but the webpage keeps saying We’re sorry about this, but it looks like we’re having technical issues. Please give us a few minutes to sort it out, and then try again.

The first question is always, are you trying to access the unlocking site from outside of the U.S.?  If so, try using a U.S. based VPN since some foreign ISPs are blocked.

Mystery resolved. VPN was the solve. They should have better error message then the current one

@Diazneedsbettercellprovider  Given that the OP’s error was caused by using a foreign ISP which was blocked for accessing the unlocking website, and that it was fixed by simply using a U.S. based VPN, it clearly wasn’t a random or convenient error.  It was a specific issue that had a specific fix.  Whatever you have going on with your unlock attempt doesn’t have anything to do with the OP’s issue.  If it did, you could fix it the same way.

Please ensure that the device meets the below unlock requirements: 

  • AT&T phone or device
  • Not active on another AT&T account
  • You must wait 60 days from purchase date (Installment Plan pay off & Pay in Full).
  • Not reported as lost or stolen or involved with fraud.
  • Account is not past due if less than 30 days.
