Hello, @gangersingh,

Thank you for reaching out. here are things to know about unlocking your device through AT&T. was your device on an AT&T postpaid plan for sixty days with no past due or unpaid balance, or was it on an AT&T prepaid plan for six months? If it meets that and the other requirements listed in the preceding link, your unlock request should be approved.

If you haven't received an answer to your request, you can check the unlock request. Follow the link and enter the IMEI and the request number. While it usually takes two business days to approve unlocking a device, it can take longer.

Have a great week.

Hi there, ! We'd like to look into why your device unlock request is still pending.

Allow us to confirm your unlock eligibility by answering the following questions:

  • Did you purchase your device through AT&T or a third party? If you'd purchased your device through a third party, you'll want to reach out to that direct party for assistance with requesting the unlock code for your phone.
  • Are you the account owner or an authorized user on the account that the device is or was associated with? You'll need to be either in order for us to verify the account for authentication purposes.
  • Does your phone meet all personal device requirements? There are general requirements for all unlock requests.

We look forward to working with you!

Thank you for connecting with the AT&T Community Forums Team.

So, the first question is always, did you respond to the confirmation email?  You should have gotten one with a link to confirm the request.  If you didn’t get the email, or didn’t confirm within 24 hours, the request will never process.  Eventually, the request should cancel itself, and you can try again, but that could take an undetermined length of time.
